Glorious Day 53 Minutes Released July 2005
“Glorious Day” is, at heart, a “concept” album for kids, with one song running into the next, moving the tale along. The story begins at dawn with a song heralding a greeting to the day ahead, taking the listener on a whimsical, rhythmic, and happy journey until the day’s end.
Words to describe the diverse songs are mischievous, hummable, silly, and soothing, but ultimately gratifying for the listener.
The singer/songwriter plays all the instruments which include guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, piano, harmonica, trumpet, and trombone. He also handles all the singing on the CD except where he enlists the help of his two children, Emma and David, who ably provide the occasional backing vocal.
In addition to the music, the record is full of stimulating sound effects that bring the noises of childhood flooding in, especially for adult listeners.
This “Glorious Day” has 53 minutes and twenty-two songs.
It is the first recording for the artist.
